My Break

So last week was our Spring Break. The break was 9 days long and I enjoyed 7 1/2 days of it. On Friday, we got out of school, and I went to my friend Clara's house for a sleepover. It was nice, and I went home the next day. I spent the night at home and went to my brothers friends birthday party the next day, Sunday. It was at a Glo-Golf place at the mall. Then I went to a Sleepover at her house. It was fun, and we went to set up the Trampoline. It was great once it was up, even though we had some "Technical" difficulties. The next day I spent at the barn riding horses, Tigger and Cashmere. On Wednesday I had "Fun" in the car. 7 long, long, long, long hours. On Thursday I was on Cape Cod, playing with my cousins. That was fun and lasted for the next 3 days. Saturday was Easter and we got baskets and had an Egg Hunt. :-). Then 7 more long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long hours. :-(( Anyway, a fun trip all in all. :))

Horse Show Today

Today I went to a horse show at my barn, If Only Farm. It was fun but really tiring, and I now am really sore. I had two horses to ride, Tigger, a dark bay horse, and Cashmere, a grey large pony. I got to the barn at 8 AM and had to get Cashmere out of the stall. Yesterday I bathed and groomed her so she was pretty clean. I groomed her again and put her back in the stall so I could get Tigger. Tigger was washed and groomed yesterday too, but I had to put him in the pasture becuase there were no extra stalls. I had to wash off his feet and then get the mud off of him. My mom and some other people helped and got the yellow spots off of Cashmere. I put the saddle on Tigger when he was clean and got the Bridles, Girths, and Martingales. Once both horses were tacked up (Tigger with a bridle and saddle, and Cashmere with just a bridle,) I went to the ring and got warmed up on Tigger. It went well, and we went over the cross-poles neatly. I then had to switch the saddle to Cashmere and I warmed her up. It was at first a little difficult, but I did okay getting her around. One of the trainers then got on her and schooled her some more. I rode Cashmere first in the actual competition. I did bad opening circle, but after that the round went great. She was nicely bent over the jumps, and it felt very secure. We got first in that class. My other rounds with Cashmere weren't that good, but at least I didn't fall off. Then i got on Tigger and we did the rounds. We did okay, getting 3, 2, and 1. Then it was time for the flat classes. I decided to ride Tigger, so I took him to the outdoor while the ponies went. We worked on some lead changes and getting him nicely bent. During the flat classes we got 3 firsts. I was pretty proud when I got Champion in my division. I got a blanket and a really pretty ribbon. After the show, I got Tigger cooled down and sent him to his pasture.

This is Tigger a few years ago (It's not me riding him) He's pretty old now.

Me and Tigger at the last show.
